How long does it take a girl to get over a bad break up with a guy?

My friend and my other friend started dating in 6th grade and she really loved him and he was her first boyfriend so yeah and they've had a steady relation ship for 2years and he just broke up with her and she is basicly destroyed now she hardly eats she cuts herself and she doesnt know what she did, and she says she doesn't ever think shell be happy again but I know that's not true but I was just wondering how long it usually takes





And another question is what can I do to make her feel betterHow long does it take a girl to get over a bad break up with a guy?
it just takes time.. some say that it takes twice the time of the relationship to get over it but it really depends on the person. it's up to her to make an effort to move on in life.. all you can do is be there for her to listen and try to get her out of the house and to eat and to try to have fun.. just give her time and keep encouraging her that even though it seems impossiible things WILL get better and easier every day.How long does it take a girl to get over a bad break up with a guy?
My boyfriend broke up with me over a txt four months ago and im still feeling pretty raw today, on top of that my friends couldnt have cared less coz they are so wrapped up wiht their boyfriends....so my advice to you would be to get her out of the house, go out at the weekends and let her have fun....just be a friend and listen to her and talk to her.


As for how long it takes...thats really up to her....she can either dwell on it or get out and forget him
