How do i to break up with a guy and still be friends?

Seriously! I need a lot of help with this one. We used to be best friends now I just cant stand being with him, as a couple. I would rather just be friends. How do i break up with him and not hurt him badly. Just so you know, I will be breaking up with him face to face.How do i to break up with a guy and still be friends?

I completely understand your situation right now. Despite some of the answers I've read, that you can't remain friends, I think its possible but it depends on a couple of things. First of all, how serious was the relationship? A couple of months? If so I think its possible because you will not have gotten so emotionally attached to each other and therefore easier to let go and move on as friends. You are going about it the right way: face to face and doing everything possible not to hurt him so good luck. Don't expect to be best friends again though, but just as long as you are able to be civil towards each other you'll be fine.
Don't even try that old ploy, ';Can't we just be friends';, that really sucks to a guy.


Just be honest and dump him, and let him find other friends.


Once you have been a couple, it's almost impossible to revert back to the just friends scene.

If he loves you, it will emotionally kill him~~if not, being friends will work fine with him. Your feelings are not wrong or unjustified, There is no easy way to do it or say it. You need to express to him how much better you guys work as friends, but not as a couple.
I hate to say, but it isnt easy remaining as friends after a break up. I dont think the guy is gonna want to talk to you anymore after the break up. I wouldnt want anything to do with a girl if she breaks up with me. My 2 cents
if your goin 2 break up with him face to face u got to be serious and dont move around much.takke it slowwly.tell him that u rather be friends han a couple.but put in that it wont reduce your freindship at all.
